The Team
Mongol Rally teams include 4 - 2 members per team.
Choosing the team members is not a simple thing to do, each team member should have a role in one way or another, for example: engineer, adventurer, survivor and the silly one.
Our team consists of two people that contain the elements necessary for the journey.
Elad & Nadav are friends since high school and have the same passion for cars and adventure often overwhelmed them.
Elad Nakash - 30-year-old operation manager from Rishon Letzion, owner and a fan of muscle cars and drag racing.
Competitive driving license holder and has extensive knowledge in renovations and improvement of collectible cars and Racing cars.
Nadav Harel - 30-year-old Communication Technician from Modi'in, big fan of sports cars, an owner of several sports cars (in the past and in the present), has a wide knowledge in engines, creative and skilled in solving issues on the road.
Why we decided to take part in this madness??
"It struck us during "Tzuk Eitan" (IDF Operation).We saw how the situation affects our public relations abroad and how the world reached a new low. Eventhough we thought it's worthless to try and that everyone is against us, we decided to go for something different and unconventional. We decided to go on a journey to places no Israeli tourists are likely to set foot in.We will physicaly reach people and show them a different kind of Israel, not like the one shown in the world wide media.
We can not change the world, but if we can change a person's prejudice, a person's approach, a person's twisted prespective on Israel or lack of knowledge about the conflict in the Middle East, we have done our part.
Also since the Mongol Rally is a charity rally we want to help and donate to the organization that we thought best fits our presepective and we chose to support "COOL EARTH" which saves and protects the rain forest around the world. "
We are starting the rally in England on July 19th, 2015. we will travel through 15 different countries till we reach Mongolia.
The gaol is to finish the rally in 5-7 weeks.
